Sunday Live At the Patio: Free Concert Series

August 12: Suburban Living & DJ Elvin T

Indie Rock/Pop darlings Suburban Living are only playing a handful of shows in Philly before they tour the UK in November. Describing their style as “shoegaze-inflected dreampop”, the band has a large following both locally and internationally. Their recent work with sound engineer Jeff Zeigler (The War on Drugs, Nothing) has transformed their dreamy sound with their latest single, Passing Days. Check them out on Spotify. TSOT DJ Elvin T will open with a vinyl DJ set of summer sounds.

September 30: Vacationer DJ Set & The Last Generation On Film

RSVP to the Facebook Event. With more than 250,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Vacationer’s beautiful blend of dream pop and electropop for an Animal Collective-meets-Beach House sound the bands calls Nu-Hula is the perfect combination for a sunny early Fall day. Band leader and songwriter Kenny Vasoli will perform an extra special DJ set drawing on the band’s new album Mindset. (Check out Vasoli’s podcast to hear him spin and talk about how he selects music for his sets). Philly synth-pop duo The Last Generation on Film will open up with a set of new songs and fan favorites. Check out Vacationer on Spotify and The Last Generation On Film’s Bandcamp.

October 21: Weekender & DJ Elvin T – CANCELLED

The final concert in the series welcomes Weekender, who mesh their love for 80s synths with their early textured indie pop for a sound that makes it feel okay to be a grown-up with some nostalgia. Their 2016 full-length album “Floaty Feeling, Blue” takes their style to the next level with plenty of psychedelia. The Philly band has opened for acts such as Nothing, Surfer Blood, and Future Islands. Listen to the album on Spotify. TSOT DJ Elvin T will open with a vinyl DJ set.
